Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Senior Officer/ Supervisor – Compliance will assist compliance manager to maintain and communicate the rules and regulations of CKP group company to compliance with all associated laws, regulations and legal requirement including preparing the meetings of shareholders, board of director, executive committee, and sub-committee meeting of CKP group company

Main Responsibilities:

Compliance Policies and Procedures of Group Companies

  • Assist compliance manger to maintain and communicate rules and regulations of group companies
    • Maintain rules and regulations for all CKP group company to ensure that internal rules and regulations are not conflicting each other, and due processed under legal requirement
    • Conduce communication activities to raise awareness of compliance among CKP group company
    • Communicate of rules and regulations via intranet or other communication paths

Implement controlling activities and monitor results

  • Assist compliance manager to perform periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed;
    • Implement rules and regulations to comply with organization policies and external regulator standards
    • Conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
    • Compile management reports regarding compliance operations and progress
    • Monitor result from auditing activity by internal audit regarding regulatory risks to assure improvement in identified areas and activities

Preparation and Arrangement of CKP Shareholder Meeting, Board of Directors Meeting, Executive Committee Meeting, and Sub-Committee Meeting

  • Assist the manager to coordinate with internal and external parties to prepare meeting document and arrange the meeting

Preparation and Arrangement of Shareholder Meeting, Board of Directors Meeting, and Executive Committee Meeting of Subsidiaries Companies

  • Assist the manager to prepare and arrange meetings for subsidiaries companies by coordinating with each subsidiary MD and related parties (if required)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Law, Political Science, Literature Arts, Business Administration or any related field.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in compliance or office of managing director of listed company or general administration.
  • Experience in working for Public company would be advantage.
  • Good command of spoken and written English with company literacy.

The Xayaburi Hydroelectric Power Project is located on the Mekong River in Xayaburi Province, Lao PDR, approximately 80 kilometres south of Luang Prabang, and 1,900 kilometres from the Mekong River Delta. Job Responsibilities:

Under the general direction from the Turbine Mechanical Senior Engineer, maintaining and repairing all turbine mechanical equipment in the plant. Performing any duties necessary to keep the plant running in a safe and economical manner.

Primary duties

  • Performing preventive maintenance work order assigned.
  • Making repairs in areas of expertise and assisting other in making repairs to all equipment.
  • Assisting in installation of any new equipment as required and directed.
  • Assisting in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing turbine mechanical equipment including turbine and auxiliary equipment, pumps, gear boxes, piping, mechanical BOP.

General Summary

The position holds complete ownership of the operation and performance of the Fish Passing/ Monitoring Facilities including in the Responsibility Scope of the present Job Description.

The position is responsible to ensure the operation of the Fish Passing/Monitoring Facilities within all applicable regulatory/client requirements, and all standards adopted by the company. Also perform and follow up self-certifications and audits and complete all the reports, monitoring and inspections that will be required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Set organizational priorities and allocate resources to guarantee the suitable fish passing/monitoring in both upstreamand downstream of Xayaburi HPP, fulfilling all business (KPIs), client (Concession Agreement, PPA), government WREA), and environmental objectives (MRC). Adapt plans and adjust priorities as needed. Identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organizational problems.
  • Implement processes to guarantee maximum utilization and reliability of resources/facilities to meet the requirements with overall cost competitiveness, without compromise safety or environmental commitments.
  • Continuously monitor performance results by establishing and reporting relevant key business and operational performance indicators, identify abnormalities take or assign actions and/or mitigation plans.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of policies and procedures to assure that they reflect current operating requirements.
  • Collaborate, prepare, and submit for review and approval strategic plans, budgets, reports, and inspections.
  • Promote productivity and teamwork with open communication, timely decision-making, and use of leadership skills to set high standards of performance.
  • Take corrective action when responding to equipment annunciators, alarms, and SCADA information.   • Ensure the safety of all employees of the facility through elimination of potential injuries to employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Support the sourcing, screening, and hiring of new or replacement staff as needed.
  • Establish project development for staff including identifying needs and supporting plans. Identify personal development requirements for continued performance improvement.
  • Implement training and qualification programs to assure that procedures are understood and properly followed by the staff and that they maintain proficiency over the time (reassessments, drills, peer-to-peer trainings, etc.).

Summary of Responsibilities

  • For O&M subsidiaries, overall responsible for developing, controlling, and improving the Hydrological and Sediment Monitoring and the Hydrological Forecasting System. It is required for the position to conduct engineering studies and support to O&M subsidiaries in relation to hydrology, hydraulic, discharge and power forecasting, plants operation optimization, flood management, sediment management, long term weather trends, climate change adaptation, annual revenue estimation, etc.
  • Manage department resources and budget. Oversea related assets of the department and the subsidiaries.
  • Develop and support Hydrology Engineering Department growth in the direction of CKP vision.
Main Responsibilities
  • For the development of new hydropower, solar or wind projects, manage projects needs and execute required tasks and studies to set deadlines and expected quality.
  • For the development of new hydropower, solar or wind projects, support technical correspondences with third party stakeholders (e.g. Governments, Consultants, MRC Off takers, etc…)related to hydrology, meteorology, hydraulic, sediment, forecasting, PPA etc.
  • In accordance with Engineering Service Agreements, lead project needs and execute required tasks to set deadlines and expected quality.
  • Overall responsible for the operation and maintenance of the network of gauging and rainfall stations in the O&M subsidiaries in accordance with CA and PDG.
  • Overall responsible for the sediment monitoring system implemented in the O&M subsidiaries in accordance with CA and PDG.
  • Overall responsible of the quality, accuracy, and improvement of the hydrological forecasting systems in CKP and the O&M subsidiaries. Experience sharing and expert support for the Hydrology
  • Engineering Department members to prepare accurate discharge and power forecasts for the O&M subsidiaries.
  • Overall responsible to enhance regional weather knowledge and climate change analysis for O&M subsidiaries.
  • Manage department resources and ensure that allocated resources are effectively and efficiently used for the good quality and achievement of given tasks.
  • Prepare and manage the budget of the department and support subsidiaries in setting up their related budgets and plans.
  • Support the preparation of any Hydrology Engineering or Civil Engineering presentations and reports related to hydrology and sediment.
  • Provide advise and regular reporting to the management of CKP and the subsidiaries.
  • Support Finance Department in the preparation of the Annual Budget & Revenue estimation for the O&M subsidiaries.
  • Guide Hydrology Engineering Department members in their development, career planning and professional development.

Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in engineering, water resources, hydrology, hydraulic and meteorology.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience preferably in water resources, hydrology, hydraulic and irrigation.
  • Past experiences on projects related to hydropower would be advantage.
  • Knowledge of GIS and remote sensing applications for water resources management is an advantage.

SSC Occupational Safety Specialist is expected to manage overall occupational safety activities occupational safety for CKP group and to work closely with each subsidiary company to develop, implement, maintain group’s occupational safety standards and procedures. With good understanding of each power plant and construction projects, investigate, analyze, and monitor occupational safety risk and statistics leading to corrective and/or preventive actions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Common Responsibilities in SSC

  • Create monthly reports for MD of subsidiary companies and related person (s) on work progress and issues regarding occupational safety related scopes
  • Initiate, execute and maintain all occupational safety related activities according to group’s Occupation Safety, Health and Environment policy
  • Manage subsidiary companies’ day-to-day operation through SSC Safety teams
  • Act as an internal auditor for occupational safety and health related activities
  • Deploy and support emergency response plans and drills for subsidiary companies according to group’s Business Continuity Management policy to ensure effectiveness operations during emergency situations

Group’s Standards and Procedures

  • Develop and maintain group’s occupational safety standards and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, international standards, and prudent practices

Occupational Safety

  • Monitor, coordinate and conduct safety inspection, risk assessment, and investigate complaints about hazard prevention and control. Use occupational safety techniques to eliminate or control hazards, and administrative control when appropriate
  • Make recommendations to related companies to control and/or improve safety working conditions, existing programs and eliminate hazards
  • Set up audit plans and perform safety audits to assure subsidiary companies’ operation is in accordance with ISO 45001:2018, applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations

Financial Planning

    • Perform payment including issuing cheque, money transfer, advance payment, petty cash reimbursement, WHT certificate and receive tax invoices from vendor.
    • Perform receive including issuing and submission of receipt and tax invoice to customer.
    • Perform payment / receipt posting and print vouchers.
    • Perform bank account transaction, balances of cash and check the consistency between the book balance and account balance.
    • Prepare monthly record, reconcile financial transaction of bank accounts, and prepare the related financial operation reports.

  • Promptly respond to subsidiary’s MD general requests to perform activities contributing to successful business operation at local site
  • Work closely with SSC HR team and be a contact person for employees at local location to manage HR-related activities regarding recruitment, HR management and HR development including gathering & verifying information, receiving & responding to employee’s request for HR related services
  • Support at site communication regards the changes from Organization Development (OD) aspects e.g. organization structure changes, update of functional descriptions and job descriptions
  • Assist HR Business Partner Manager to prepare monthly reports and report to MD of subsidiary and related person on work progress and issues regarding human resource operation at each local location
Local Recruitment Support
  • Verify the request of workforce from the local managers by reviewing the workforce requisition form and the job descriptions; prior submitting to SSC Recruitment for further proceed.
  • Perform local job posting and/or advertisement through coordination with SSC Recruitment; or local agency if necessary
  • Facilitate local job application for the walk-in candidates and report to the SSC Recruitment

  • Follow up and verify the Performance Appraisal form from the local manager and submit to SSC HRM
  • Collect and verify certificate document to SSC HRM
  • Coordinate with the embassy, immigration office, and agency in Laos to prepare the newly issued visa and work permit for the expat who work in Laos including the annual renewal support.
  • Perform local administer and logistics for annual health check for the employees at site
HR Development Team Support
  • Collect and verify training requested documents including budget, venue, course outline with reference to CKP training roadmap and CKP core competencies, and related details before submitting to SSC HRD

XAYABURI POWER COMPANY LIMITED

The Xayaburi Dam is a hydroelectric dam under construction on the Lower Mekong River approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Xayaburi (Sainyabuli) town in Northern Laos. The main purpose of the dam is to produce hydroelectric power. The project is surrounded in Preliminary construction began in early 2012.

Location: Xayaburi province, Laos PDR.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Under Plant Operation Shift Senior Engineer supervision, performing duties assuring a safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Power Plant following or exceeding applicable standards and regulations within the guidelines of the Power Purchase Agreement.
  • Responsible to support plant operation activities.
  • Performing all duties in compliance with Company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations on operations, safety, conduct, and housekeeping.
  • Protecting the investment in machinery, equipment, and facilities by exercising care, skill, training, and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of skilled control operator duties required to operate, control and record trends of generation units, pumps, emergency generators, auxiliary equipment, various plant systems, water cooling systems, and spillway equipment through Local, Remote or Supervisory control operating systems in conjunction with the Plant Operation Shift Senior Engineer.
  • Ensure conformance with established policies, Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), and Emergency Operation Procedures (EOP).
  • Support plant operations activities, routine operating and maintenance, and overhaul procedures ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Conduct inspections and monitoring of related equipment to assure safe operation and to maintain operational efficiencies for power generation and water discharge.
  • Start, stop, operate and control generation units, pumps, emergency generators, auxiliary equipment, various plant systems, water conveyance systems and dam equipment through Local, Local Automatic or Supervisory control.
  • Monitor equipment indicators and make necessary changes to generation units, pumps and spillways to maintain plant function and river level requirements.
  • Take corrective action when responding to equipment annunciators, alarms, and SCADA information. Initiates corrective measures needed to address or avoid plant contingencies and equipment emergencies.
  • Monitor fluctuating river inflows during flood operation and control spill releases.
  • Keep accurate and legible operation logs. Prepares and completes records and reports on operations, system failures, water releases and power generation. Initiates work requests as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinates with his/her supervisor on river changes, environmentally hazardous events and changes affecting the fish hatchery.
  • Execute switching orders prepared in accordance with SOPs, established switching practices and facility instructions.
  • Assist in assessing actual or potential damage to facilities and threats to personal safety during an emergency.
  • Assist in the diagnosis of equipment problems through the use of schematic diagrams, flow diagrams, and personal knowledge base. Implements appropriate diagnostic procedures to detect problems when control system malfunctions or other system failures adversely affect operations.
  • Review and evaluate plant performance and suggesting plant improvement and /or corrective actions to ensure maximum operating efficiency in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
  • Support effective coordination related to Outages and/or Work Permit activities and notifications.
  • Communicate effectively and accurately using both oral and written methods of communication.
  • Maintain current knowledge of new concepts, trends, and methods in the field of power plant operations, and applicable rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Aged over 23 years old
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Industrial engineering
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in SPP, IPP of Hydro, Thermal, Cogen. power plant.
  • Good command in English
  • Able to work at Lao PDR.

Job Responsibilities:

General Summary

In engineering projects of hydro power plant, support Senior Engineer by drafting reports, presentation decks, contracts, technical correspondents, and technical references etc., in applying basic civil engineering knowledge, from pre-construction to construction phase. Support Senior Engineers to provide engineering consultations to O&M subsidiaries in accordance with Engineering Service Agreement.

Pre-construction phase

  • Draft reports, presentation decks, contracts, technical correspondents, terms of reference and technical references etc. to support Senior Engineers.
  • Support feasibility study process which include but not limited to supervise and monitor site investigations from civil engineering view point.
  • Review specifications and outline design drawings in applying basic civil engineering knowledge, industry standards and norms.
  • Ensure document control of the project by preparing storage and document organizing rules.

Construction phase

  • Draft reports, presentation decks, contracts, technical correspondents, terms of reference and technical references etc. to support Senior Engineers.
  • Review submittal and detail design from EPC within an assignment by a superior.
  • Supervise and monitor activities on site, and follow up the work progress, summarize situations and report to relevant engineers. In case of technical issues, collect information for team to analyse root-cause, come up with solutions and monitor the progress of the open issue.

O&M phase

  • In response to requests from O&M subsidiaries, support Senior Engineers to provide engineering consultations in accordance with Engineering Service Agreement.

Engineering capability development in the organization

  • Support Head of Engineering Field to develop engineering capability and conduct knowledge management in the department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural, Water Resources, Irrigation or other related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in civil/structural design, drawings, calculation or technical reports, feasibility study, specifications, or project development.
  • Past experiences on projects related to hydropower, dam, water resources, and/or irrigation would be advantage.
  • Experience with engineering design and analysis software (e.g. SAP2000, STADD Pro, Revit etc.) would be advantage..
  • Good command of Thai and English, both verbal and written expressions
  • Able to travel and work out of office for short missions
