CKPower placed on the 2020 Thailand Sustainability Investment list

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has put CK Power Public Company Limited (CKPower) (CKP: SET) on its Thailand Sustainability Investment (THIS) list for the year 2020. A total of 124 companies have been chosen for the list this year, compared to 51 in 2015, reflecting the greater emphasis that businesses have placed on sustainable business development that takes into consideration environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. The selection also bears testament to CKPower Group’s strong commitment to sustainable business practices.

The list consists of a selection of a selection of listed companies that completed sustainability assessment questionnaires comprising questions encompassing 19 categories, covering economic (including corporate governance), social, and environmental dimensions. The assessment focuses on their sustainability practices on four levels: policymaking, goal setting and policy implementation, performance measurement, and information disclosure. To be included on the Thailand Sustainability Investment list, a company has to obtain a passing score of at least 50% in every category and meet the criteria stipulated by the SET, such as the quality assessment of corporate governance report (CGR), the net profit and shareholders' equity performance, compliance on issues related to qualifications of listed companies, and absence of negative ESG impacts. The selection was overseen by the Sustainable Investment Committee to ensure transparency throughout the process.

Furthermore, the Thailand Sustainability Investment list is included as one of the criteria of the SETTHSI Index in order to investment in sustainable stocks of companies that prioritize ESG dimensions of their operations. The index is reviewed on a semi-annual basis.
